On November 19, 2006 gaming was forever changed. Nintendo, who had struggled to develop a relevant gaming system and seen sales drop during the era of the Game Cube, revealed a new system to the market that helped reclaim the gaming company’s supremacy worldwide. The Wii utilizes a wireless remote that can sense movements in all three dimensions and translate those into the Wii games. To add power to prowess, a stroke of good fortune bolstered the gaming systems sales and is a staple of the gaming system even today. The original game included with every system sold was called Wii Sports. It included tennis, baseball, boxing, golf and bowling. The friendly graphics and simple utilization of bringing a lifelike simulation of the sporting events made the game a blockbuster hit with consumers. It appealed to every age of gamer in its simplicity of use and challenge of perfection.
Especially as it pertained to Wii bowling, gamers were in awe. In the wake of the extremely real game play of the virtual bowling, a design for a Wii accessory: a bowling ball, was desperately needed. The wait is over and the Wii bowling ball is available. Though its weight does not imitate that of a real ball it has a similar size and is designed to host the Wii remote, also called the chuck. To insert the chuck the ball slide open and the remote is placed inside leaving a small hole for the remote cord to stick out so it can be worn around the wrist. It has been the Nintendo policy with the Wii to produce companion accessories for Wii to match up with the various sports games, from a tennis racket to sparring gloves and now the Wii bowling ball, the cutting edge products being produced have given wake to a gaming system that brings gamers directly into the action.
