Some people out there have little ethics and no morals. These must be the kinds of people who try to sell fake tanzanite rings without disclosing the true nature of the gems they are using. Tanzanite rings are so beautiful and elegant, it’s no wonder that so many people want them. But to try and hoodwink the market by using blue colored glass is simply criminal. Some vendors try to get away with using synthetic spinel or synthetic corundum in place of the tanzanite. These look alright, but in the end, you won’t have a tanzanite ring. If you feel unsure about the trustworthiness of a particular vendor, don’t buy anything from them. No matter how good the deal is, it’s not worth winding up with a fake tanzanite ring. The disappointment when finding out the truth is really terrible.
