I really love just about everything when it comes to my DIRECTV service.  From the picture quality to the digital video recorder, there isn’t much to complain about.  Except the DIRECTV on demand platform.  When I dropped cable, DIRECTV assured me their on demand was on par with the cable company.  Let me tell you right now, its not.  Basically, you have to hook up your internet line to the HD DVR, then wait for the show or movie to download.  If you don’t have a super fast connection, you sometimes have to wait a few minutes before you can even start your show.  With cable, the on demand was instantaneous, so it really was slick to use.  With satellite TV, the whole setup is slow and clumsy.
