Experienced pilots can help less experience pilots by taking the vehicle for a test flight. The more experienced pilot can point out any handling problems with the craft. If the more experienced operator does not find anything wrong with the set up, the owner should take up his craft for a solo flight.

In Atlanta, Georgia, an art studio presented a series of reproductions from the collection of official Tournament of Roses art that dated all the way back to 1890. These prints were reminiscent of one of the US’ most famous events. They were gathered from art compiled from the Rose Bowl game and the Rose Parade, held every New Years Day.

The issues of technology and patents came up the other day in an odd setting. My brother has been looking for a new radio to put in the garage (his man cave). The last one got hosed – literally – by accident while washing the car. He figured there had to be a work radio that was a little tougher and that could handle a bit of water or rain and still keep ticking. We went out to our local hardware store and found several different models of garage or work radios available. They all looked pretty sturdy and I could not really tell much difference in the sound, but one of the radios would recharge the cordless batteries that were in it when plugged into the wall. A nice feature, the other could not charge the battery while plugged in because the company that made radio #1 has a patent on this technology. Radio #2 was the Makita radio and that was the one he ended up getting even though it lacked the handy charging feature.

More and more people seem to be enjoying their back yards, turning them into a pleasant outdoor living space. It makes sense, it’s part of your home. It should be enjoyed. Plus it feels good to spend time outside. Studies have even shown that spending time outdoors helps reduce stress. I’ve seen some beautifully landscaped yards that have full grown trees and bushes, nice patches of flowers and a nice garden. My favorites are those that have a garden bench.

Garden benches provide both an aesthetically pleasing and functional way to sit outside and enjoy your garden and the whole outdoor area. They also provide a nice place to rest when you’re in the middle of some heavy gardening. It’s good to take a break, stretch and sit a little bit so you don’t develop back and joint pain.
