I just read about this story earlier this morning. It seems many consumers are calling for a boycott of Randalls because they fired an employee that helped catch a purse snatcher who grabbed a Customers purse while she was in the store. Randalls is saying that they have a policy against employees chasing crooks. They totally ignored the fact that this woman could sue them for not providing a secured place to shop. Or the fact that the could have made an exception to this guy because he only followed the purse snatcher and helped Police locate him after he ran off. He never physically touched the robber. But I guess in a PC world, Randalls is more concerned over the Crooks well being rather than a loyal employees. The seem to be willing to suffer from a boycott of Randalls stores rather than do the right thing.

Do you know the joy of owning a transportable TV? Oh, it is so great! Wherever you go, no matter what kind of lines and waiting you get stuck in, you can always pull these 7 inch TV’s out of your purse or bag or backpack and tune in to the world outside. (Or tune out, as we like to say.) 7 inch TVs are as close as you can possibly get to Heaven in a doctor’s waiting room. At least, that’s what I like to say. That’s right everybody, we’re back for our weekly roundup of the best in tech. This week we’ll be looking at mini televisions; specifically I want to dissect the best and the worst of the 7 inch portable TV world. This is a relatively recent innovation. Of course there have always been “small” TV’s, but never have they packed this kind of oomph. I mean the picture resolution is insane! Many allow you to select different screen ratios just like you would on your big HDTV or plasma at home. 16:9 or 4:3 you can have your pick ladies and gentlemen. The only thing you have to do is plug the battery in to recharge every once in a while. Other than that, these TV’s are a piece of cake.

I went to one of the most interesting weddings over the summer. one of my friends is Irish and she decided that she was going to have a traditional Irish wedding. I really thought that the Irish wedding invitations that she sent out were really beautiful and very unique. I really like how she integrated her Irish heritage with her and her husband to be’s story and also managed to make the entire event feel somewhat contemporary. The invitations are absolutely gorgeous. They featured some really amazing photos of her and her husband and also integrated the traditional Irish designs that come from the Celtic illuminated manuscripts. I really feel that this added a sophistication and also made the entire event feel more customized to the couples lifestyle and time period while still holding true to their heritage.
