Contrary to popular belief, or what you might believe yourself, there are alternatives to going bald. While it is still not usually possible to prevent hair loss or re-grow lost hair, the illusion of a full head of hair is still very much possible. Hair systems give men a second chance at a full head of luscious hair.
Hair systems are synthetic hair pieces with hair attached to a very thin translucent skin. This thin skin base is bonded to the man’s skull to give a semi-permanent natural look. Normally this process takes place at a salon, though some products allow home bonding. Salon bonding is normally preferred, as results tend to be better in the hands of trained professionals.
The key to a good hair system is making an indistinguishable hairline. Ideally, the piece should look and feel great all over. This is the type of quality available in top of the line systems. Still, the most important part of the system is the hairline above the forehead because this is the most noticeable part of the scalp and the part of the hairline that most people see during normal daily interactions.
There are normally two types of fronts on a standard hair system: the lace front and the micro skin front. Both of these methods do essentially the same thing and are really a matter of preference. The lace front and the micro-skin front are both designed to form an undetectable hairline.
The best way to fake a natural hairline is to utilize patterns found in nature. Real hairlines are not ruler-edged perfect but are instead random and a bit jagged. Good hair systems recognize this fact and mimic nature’s randomness in every piece. A ruler edged piece will not look natural but a properly bonded random piece will look like God-given hair.
