Pollen and Dogs

September 6, 2009

Most dogs don’t have pollen or air born contaminate issues, as they have much different noses than we do, and react to their environment with a much better nasal passage than we pack around.  None the less, some dogs do have an adverse reaction to their environment at certain times of year, and common dog allergies are not fun for anyone involved.  Try an air filter for your home, the better ones are going to cost you but will be worth it.  Vacuum often and try to keep things like Fabreeze to a minimum, the perfumes in these products can aggravate anyone’s nose.  As for outside, I am not one to run right out and medicate my pet, most of these are seasonal and you can wait them out in the peace of your own home.
