Rojales is a place surrounded with artistry and tourist attractions. This is a Spanish village situated near Guardamar Del Segura on the southern Costa Blanca. The place is consist of resorts and is mainly occupied with artists, which showcase their art pieces. There are also cultural activities held, which exhibit the artists’ ingenuity and creativity.
This town also holds a very significant festival in honor of the patron saint, Saint Peter. This festival is highlighted with solemn procession, street parades, and other activities. The Shell House
This house in Calle Vilatona is owned and designed by Manuel Fulleda Alcaraz. What makes this house a tourist attraction is the shells painstakingly decorated with some patterns of mirrors and tiles. It is indeed a visual treat of epic proportions.
Puente Carlos III Bridge
The bridge was built during the reign of Carlos III and was finalized in October 1790. Its fine stonework made it distinct.
Caves
One of the most visited tourist attractions found in the hills to the south of the town. These caves are very popular. Art exhibits, showcase of merchandise by craftspeople, painters and artists usually take place in these caves.
The Azud
A dam made of stone was built during the 16th century. Its main purpose was to increase the level of river to ensure that the water reaches the irrigation trenches. Up until now, this dam is still in operation.
The Gasparito Wells
These wells were designed to collect water from surrounding areas. The West well has been turned into a gallery while the East well is still in operation.
