The only way to achieve long term results is to get into the habbit or eating less and exercise more.

When you are ready to begin your weight loss efforts then it will be for your benefit to inform your friends and family for your decissions. They can help you a lot in the process and give you encouragement to continue until you meet your goals.

One easy way to start eating less calories is to start reading the food labels. By doing this you can get valuable information as to the number of calories contained in each food and avoid the foods that are high in calories and fat.
